Spaces are limited to just 2 people per course.

What the course covers:

  • Over the three weeks, you'll learn how to:
  • Understand the basics of CAD and 3D modelling
  • Create your own simple objects and designs using Onshape
  • Modify and develop your designs for 3D printing
  • Export your finished designs ready for printing
  • Import and prepare your models in Bambu Studio
  • Understand the basic slicer settings and how they affect your print
  • Set up a print and use a Bambu Lab A1
  • Troubleshoot common beginner 3D printing problems
  • Take an idea from a sketch or concept through to a finished physical object

Course Aims:
The aim of the course is to give you the confidence and basic skills to design and 3D print your own projects at home. Whether you want to make replacement parts, workshop accessories, household objects, pottery tools or simply bring your own ideas to life, this course will give you the foundations to get started.

You'll be encouraged to work on your own project throughout the course, making the learning practical and relevant to what you actually want to create.

Laptop & Equipment

Bringing your own laptop is recommended, as it means you can get set up with the software and web browsers you'll be using throughout the course and continue working on your projects at home.

However, a laptop is not required. We have two laptops and two Bambu Lab A1 3D printers available in our print room for you to use throughout the course.
